Competences:

•  representing the joint interest of the members of the Chamber, improving the efficiency of the work and the operation of the member, as well as their organization;
•  representing the interests of the members of the Chamber in front of the state institutions and bodies, particularly when they concern the industrial legislation, measures and mechanisms of the economic policy and the determination of the macroeconomic and development policy, as well as giving initiatives for preparing legal and other regulations in the field of economy;
•  providing business and professional services for the needs of the members;
•  giving professional advice, information and assistance in order to improve the results of the work of the members of the Chamber, support of free business-initiative, cooperation and competitiveness;
• giving professional assistance to the members of the Chamber regarding the development in certain sectors, inclusion of modern technologies and working methods, support of research and development of the technical and technological achievements, promotion of the quality and production standards and services etc.;
•  operation of the Chamber, i.e. the forms of organization and work within it, as a compulsory, neutral space and forum for consulting the business regarding all issues that are of economy’s interest;
•  promotion and advancement of the business climate in the country on local, regional, national and international level;
•  cooperation with the Government, competent ministries and other institutions for all the issues of interest for the industry or for the members of the Chamber;
•  adoption and review of aligned opinions and stances of the members of the Chamber regarding the improvement of the conditions of work in the industry;
•  promotion and advancement of the business climate in the country on local, regional, national and international level;
•  cooperation with the Government, competent ministries and other institutions for all the issues of interest for the industry or for the members of the Chamber;
•  adoption and review of aligned opinions and stances of the members of the Chamber regarding the improvement of the conditions of work in the industry;
•  participation in the determination of the public opinion and policy regarding the economic and systematic issues on local, regional and national level;
•  participation in the international commercial institutions, chambers of commerce and other associations and in making and presenting the joint stances regarding international issues, particularly the economic issues in the European Union;
•  Support and development of the commercial cooperation abroad, while being particularly directed towards promotion of the goods and services, economic propaganda, organizing fairs and exhibitions, commercial delegations, participation in the development of the foreign trade affairs etc.;
•  representing the interests of the members of the Chamber via participation of representatives of the Chamber in committees, councils, working groups and other working teams on local, regional, national and international level;
•  representing of the interests of the members of the Chamber regarding the social and economic issues;
•  organize and support certain types for continuous functional education and innovation of knowledge of management staff, as well as of other professional staff and professional upgrade of the already acquired knowledge by organizing professional qualification events- trainings, seminars, workshops and other modes of education;
•  determination and fostering the good business practices, developing the business moral and setting the rules of business behavior of the members of the Chamber in the relations between the members and the relations between the members with third parties and on the market;
•  providing professional assistance through Arbitration or through other alternative ways of solving disputes between the members of the Chamber and of the disputes with third parties;
•  support and giving recommendations for the members of the Chamber when establishing businesses, particularly with parties from abroad;
•  performing other activities of interest for the members of the Chamber in accordance with the Law on chambers of commerce and the Statute of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
