The Vice President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Dr. Jelisaveta Georgieva-Jovevska, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam based in Sofia, H.E. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet.
The meeting also included Vasko Ristovski, Assistant Operations Director of the Organizational Unit for Member Representation and Networking within the Professional Service of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia. The discussion focused on opportunities to enhance economic cooperation, increase business contacts, and open space for partnerships between companies from the two countries. Particular interest was expressed in cooperation in the sectors of pharmaceuticals and tourism, agri-food products, the ICT sector, as well as in the exchange of knowledge and skills in the areas of education and digitalization of public administration.

The Economic Chamber expressed readiness to support initiatives for new business missions, while the Ambassador highlighted Vietnam’s interest in a stronger economic presence in the region.
During the meeting, the latest data on Vietnam’s economic situation and the country's technological progress were also presented.
In the period January–September 2025, total trade with Vietnam amounted to USD 60.4 million, representing a 23% increase compared to 2024. Exports reached USD 833.7 thousand, while imports amounted to USD 1.11 million. The most represented export products were pharmaceutical goods, while imports were dominated by mobile phones, footwear, and cashew nuts.
