President Branko Azeski, together with members of the Chamber’s Managment Board, paid a working visit to Replek AD Skopje, where he met with CEO Dushan Pecovski and his team on the occasion of the company’s 80th anniversary. The visit highlighted new investments aimed at strengthening production capacities, announcements of further investments, operational stability, and the long-term vision of the pharmaceutical company.

During the visit, President Azeski emphasized that the Chamber is an institution that stands behind its member companies, working to create conditions that enable businesses to shape the business environment and achieve positive results. In addition to support provided through the Chamber, assistance is also offered at the regional level through the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF). Through a number of programs supported by the European Union, USAID, and FITD, various tools have been provided to date for new technologies, investments, workforce training, access to foreign markets, trade fairs, and similar activities. In the coming period, through WB6 CIF projects, companies that are primarily regionally and export-oriented will have full access to new services offered by the regional business association of the six chambers from the Western Balkans.

At Replek, President Azeski also announced that the Chamber’s primary task in the upcoming period will be to create an environment in which Macedonian companies can compete fairly through transparent and public processes. If the majority of domestic goods end up on EU markets, that means they are recognized, valued, and capable of competing successfully, Azeski noted.

He also stressed the need for better internal organization within the country. Significant funds from social spending can be redirected toward development, and substantial resources from unnecessary expenditures should be channeled into growth. This, he said, would reduce the cost of products and services and enhance competitiveness.

Regarding the entry into new foreign markets, Azeski informed that the Chamber and the Government are preparing a special program. At the same time, Minister Mucunski, together with his teams, visited the chambers and held discussions. All companies intending to enter new markets and having concrete business deals will accompany the Prime Minister on his official travels this year, and will also participate in trips with the prime ministers of the Western Balkan countries. This month, a document will be signed with the Government to support a platform for investment activities, and work is also underway on another program, BRIDGE, focused on infrastructure—a new platform aimed at improving conditions across the entire Balkans. Azeski informed that support for export activities of companies will be strengthened.

CEO Dushan Pecovski emphasized that these investments and development projects will not stop here. As an export-oriented company, Replek respects the domestic market; however, its main perspective lies in foreign markets. Last year, Replek recorded a 40% increase in profit and is currently present in 25 markets worldwide, with a goal of expanding to 40 countries by 2030. Therefore, Pecovski noted, the company is investing in new production facilities as well as representative offices in the region. Replek has been operating in this spirit for eight decades, but significant breakthroughs have been achieved over the past four to five years. Sales have tripled, while profit has increased fivefold. The company expects to continue achieving double-digit growth in the coming years. None of this would have been possible without substantial investments in people, human resources, and staff, Pecovski emphasized, as he and his team hosted the delegation from the Economic Chamber led by its President, Branko Azeski.

Replek AD Skopje announced the opening of a new production facility in the second half of 2026, with an investment value of five million euros. The company closed 2025 with sales of 34 million euros and net profit of five million euros.

As part of the visit, a tour was also organized of the production facility that was put into operation last summer, representing an Italian investment worth two million euros.
