The President of the Association of Construction, Building Materials and Non-Metal Industries at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Andrea Serafimovski, appeared in an interview on TV 24, where he discussed the current situation and key challenges facing the construction sector.

During the interview, he emphasized the need to strengthen oversight and improve quality standards in residential construction, as well as to raise public awareness of the importance of applying higher construction standards to residential buildings, comparable to those required for Category A buildings.

Serafimovski also addressed developments in the real estate market, noting that the supply of apartments has noticeably increased relative to demand, a trend that is expected to contribute to greater market stability.

The discussion also covered the implementation of major capital infrastructure projects and the participation of domestic construction companies in their execution. In this context, Serafimovski welcomed the Government's commitment to ensuring greater involvement of Macedonian companies as principal contractors in the delivery of these strategic projects.
