In the multitudes of proposals and initiatives for supporting domestic exporting companies under the Private Sector Regional Integration Support Activity (PSRISA), implemented in partnership with USAID, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia secured participation of three domestic food companies, Agro Fila (Shtip), Integromaks (Probiship), and Aronija Zdrava Hrana (Skpje), in the renowned international agri-food exhibition TUTTOFOOD held from 8 to 11 May in Milano, Italy.

This year, TUTTOFOOD includes over 2,500 exhibitors from 45 countries, and over 700 registered buyers from more than 75 countries in the world, which is an excellent opportunity for exporting companies to present their products to potential foreign buyers. In addition, under the marketing and promotion segment of the Program for Financial Support of Rural Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy rented a national stand for 9 Macedonian export-oriented companies from the food sector.

Not only does the Chamber recognize the need for supporting Macedonian companies in their export promotion, but it has also made specific steps to support domestic companies as to participation in international fairs and exhibitions in the interest of multiple sectors.

Building export capacity, stimulating competitiveness, regionalization and internationalization of Macedonian exporting companies are some of the primary objectives of the PSRISA team that will be accomplished by taking part in international fairs, B2B-meetings, organizing buying missions and other forms of promotion, which will contribute to the presence in the traditional markets, as well as to expanding to new markets.

USAID is supporting the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia in its goal of integrating businesses into the regional and global value chains and increasing their capacity to be competitive in the Western Balkans and beyond, in the EU, under the Private Sector Regional Integration Support Activity. The idea is to create public-private dialogue tools, promote the benefits from regional economic integration of the business community, explore and promote export opportunities, and provide sustainable services for exporting companies.
